Locally owned. A real person answers the phone.
SOVA Automotive rents cars and runs the Drive & Own rent-to-own program out of Virginia Beach, serving all of Hampton Roads. We built this for the drivers the airport counters turn away.
Built for how people actually get around here.
Turned down elsewhere
Credit trouble or a debit card shouldn't cost you a car. Bring your license and the deposit and we work with you.
Rideshare and delivery drivers
Rideshare-approved vehicles, weekly rates, and 300 miles a day so a full shift doesn't cost you extra.
Waiting on a repair
Car in the shop? Rent from us, and we give you the paperwork and walk you through filing with your insurance so you get reimbursed.
Military and short-term residents
Stationed here for a while and not buying a car? Weekly rates and flexible terms that fit a rotation.
Working toward owning
The Drive & Own program is a structured path to ownership with its own application and terms. No hard credit pull to apply.
All of Hampton Roads
Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton and Newport News.
Plain terms, in writing, before you drive.
- Honest pricing. Rentals start at $40/day, most run $40–$90 by category. You pay the daily rate, tax, and a refundable deposit — $100 economy, from $200 for other categories. Add the damage waiver ($35/day, or $150/week prepaid) only if you don't carry full coverage.
- Pay the way that works. Credit, debit, cash, Cash App, Apple Pay, Google Pay, tap-to-pay, plus Affirm and Klarna.
- Same-day in most cases. Most customers are approved and driving within the same visit.
- We answer. Call 757-586-4866 during business hours and you get a person, not a phone tree.
